Artist Statement:
My imagery is reflective of the beauty and the connection I feel with the natural world around me.I am drawn towards the freedom of creativity offered by abstract impressionistic style of photography.
I try to see the less appreciated details in the subject and show it in a diffetent light following the motto of Minor White who said "Do not show me what it is, show me whatelse it is".
Bio: After retiring from a medical practice of 30 years in Bay Area, Anita has taken photography as a medium for creative expression. She had no formal training in photography, but learned the art from several internationally renowned photographers like Art Wolfe, Valda Bailey, Doug Chinnery, Susan Burnstine and Oliver Klink.
Her work is recognized in several county fairs, Viewpoint Photographic
Art Center and Camera Club Competitions.

She was a finalist im Bird Portrait Photo Cotest, Birdwatching magzine 2019. Finalist in Black and White magazine 2017.
Her exhibit"Conversation with Cactus" will run at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center from August 11 to September 4.
